daa International welcomed a high-level delegation of more than 20 senior representatives of Riyadh Airports Company (RAC) to Dublin Airport this week.

The aim of the two-day visit was to explore additional areas of collaboration and to build on the success of daa International’s management of the flagship Terminal 5 at King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh.

The visit included a detailed tour of the entire Dublin Airport operation and a series of work streams on areas such as commercial revenue streams, information technology, human resources, asset management and airfield safety. August 2017

daa International Chief Executive Colm Moran said he was “delighted to provide the RAC management team with the opportunity to experience the measures introduced at Dublin Airport to make it a forerunner of airport innovation and award-winning customer service”.

The visit also focused on specific areas, including Dublin Airport’s ISO50001 certification in asset care – which was a world first for an airport.

Other areas looked at included daa’s data capture and information processing technology, its car parking and retail businesses, finance and procurement, the way in which the company identifies next generation managers, and its award-winning social media activity.

daa International has a five-year contract to operate the new 106,500 sq metre Terminal 5 facility at Riyadh’s KKIA Airport.

daa International has responsibility for the full operation of the terminal, which opened last year and is designed to handle up to 12 million passengers per annum.
